In the film, we learn about three generations of women and how a family secret affects their lives. What they are not allowed to talk about is no less but the cultural and ethnic group they grew up with: The Roma. Historical flashbacks not only on the family’s history but also for many other Roma people – with persecution, racial biology experiments, forced sterilizations and finally a total assimilation of culture, traditions and language.
