G.v.K. Live-Synchronisationen • Folge 5: Fernerkundung der Erde

Film

In the journal Astronomie und Raumfahrt [Astronomy and Aerospace] from 1985 we read:

In the period 1975-1985, the Interkosmos Remote Sensing Working Group has focused on solving system-inherent technical questions of data acquisition and processing. The basic investigations for topical interpretation were carried out in several directions, taking into account disciplinary specificities as well as recurring problems with the thematic interpretation of remote sensing data and their presentation. The results point indeed to the emergence of separate and independent research directions and disciplines. The scientific understanding of interpretation processes is closely connected with the task of integrating the classification of remote sensing data into the existing conceptual system of the geosciences.

40 years on, G.v.K. Live Synchronization are dedicating their fifth show to the experiments of the GDR working group “Remote Sensing of the Earth”. Inspired by the Atlas for the Interpretation of Aerocosmic Multispectral Images, G.v.K. pursue a novel approach by attempting a reinterpretation of these data and their relevance, including for fictitious spaces. Little wonder that they encountered similar problems of thematic interpretation and classification, and subsequent incorporation into existing conceptual systems.

The G.v.K.-Live-Synchronization team warmly invites you to attend their next experimental setup at the Videothek am Rosa-Luxemburg-Platz on 12 February 2025!
