Vielleicht ist es eine Liebesgeschichte negotiates how and whether romantic love can survive the pressures of capitalism. It is about the separation of two rather dissimilar women who find themselves lost and torn between aspirations, anxieties, accusations, and their ideals until they no longer know what actually matters most to them in life. Maybe money is all that matters. Maybe it’s always just about sex. And perhaps it is simply a love story.

Sophie Yukiko is a German-American performative artist and dancer. Her work centres the topics of legacy and rituals, in films, texts and in dance. During her career as a professional dancer, she became active in the Ballroom scene and started to engage in contexts of political art. Since 2020, she has worked as an author and dramaturg.
