GEGENWART

On March 20, Shatten present their new album GEGENWART live in Berlin at the Roter Salon. Based between Hamburg and Berlin, the band is known for concentrated intensity, sharp edges, and an atmosphere driven by intention rather than excess.

Following their self-titled debut (2021) and Gruppenchat (2023), GEGENWART turns decisively toward the present moment. The bleak futurism of earlier releases gives way to immediacy: precise, confrontational, and permeated by a strange, quiet melancholy.

MPC LAFOTE is a post-wave act from Hamburg that emerged from the post-punk band LAFOTE, founded in 2013, which quickly established itself within the scene and gained attention through releases and touring. Following early successes—including compilation appearances, a debut album (2018), and further releases—the sound evolved steadily toward a more wave-oriented style with a stronger use of synthesizers. Since 2022, MPC LAFOTE has increasingly returned to the stage and has also received a positive audience response as a support act. In 2023, the album Aquarium was released.
