Ich weiß nicht, was ein Ort ist, ich kenne nur seinen Preis (Manzini-Studien)

Von René Pollesch

I’ve got two options, haven’t I? One is watching you, watching this, thinking‚ well I’ve seen it coming all the while. Old and new whims and quirks, stuff you’ve been trying to learn to cope with. For example, these cups that you refuse to put in the dishwasher and rather rinse separately to stow them away at the rear end of the cupboard. Like, taking care of children by dealing out blows to allow them to take a back seat. The drama, however, is always brought from rear to front. But wait, didn’t we want to discuss the issue of terror? Whims, drama, terror. This place has always been a home for drama.

Pollesch’s Zurich production will be added to the Volksbühne repertory with a new set design adapted for the Berlin stage by Barbara Steiner.
