Jelena Kuljić & Fundamental Interactions

Fundamental Interactions is a collaborative project by musician and performer Jelena Kuljić that brings together an international team of musicians and poets from former Yugoslavia. She uses her own lyrics as well as poems by Marko Pogačar and Olja Savičević Ivančević from Croatia, by Selma Asotić and Jasna Šamić from Bosnia-Herzegovina, and by Dragana Mladenović from Serbia. The focus is on ties, connections and similarities, oscillating between the poles of language, identity and a sense of belonging. Teaming with Olga Reznichenko, Christian Lillinger, Kalle Kalima and Tim Dahl, this extraordinary music project explores the boundaries of geographies and music combining improvised and electronic music, jazz, progressive rock, poetry and avant-garde. The album release marks the 30th anniversary of the end of the war in Bosnia.
