Piano For Non-Senses

Pork belly for all?! In this Shamanic post-fluxus performance, the trio Brauer/Kim/Waki will present their take on Nam June Paik’s Piano for all Senses, asking how pianos should be prepared to be able to usher in the pianoed dimension in these dire times with no hope.

Suspense! How many tunnels infiltrating the system haven’t you found? Count the waves on the river Spree. How long must a foreskin be to be able to kick-off the Young Penis Symphony? Count the waves on the Spree. Those having been injected with Korean Botox (evidence necessary!) and all 100-days-olds are free of charge. Count the feet on the toe. Suspense!

Nam June Paik (1932-2006), the inventor of video art, was also a great composer, sent to Germany by his parents in order to prevent him from becoming a communist in North Korea. His earliest music scores – largely unknown – form the basis for this post-fluxus action. You might hear June Paik murmuring: „I make technology ridiculous!“
